Originally posted by :They developers have never hinted at a train, tram, or other on-track vehicle of that type/class. There was a subway car, and a steam engine, and a 3rd that was very small steam-driven train. The map is masterful (aside of the sheer amount of lag if you have a low-end system) where it's completed as of late but sadly we'll have to wait for the choo-choo train a bit longer. It may just take time! It surely was fun (though it really was work to get a steam engine going down a track, only to have it fall off the track due to my poor map-making skills at the time, past that point now). Surely in the future someone will fix it. User Chris_Lucas on the website there for the game had made a train, though I doubt it still works with the 0.10/0.11 updates to the game (I don't think it's been updated since 0.9.x). I have a dozen and a half miles of train track built into Tennessee map, it's called 'Roane County' and it is the 2nd most popular map on MAP MODS on the beamng.drive website.īrowse for it, and if you have atleast 8gb of system RAM (I mean it), you can play it. Would be lovely, but I doubt it will happen. The cable-car tracks are there just for show, a 2d texture with 3d bump-mapping to make it stand out like a train track buried in pavement should. They developers have never hinted at a train, tram, or other on-track vehicle of that type/class.
